Subject: gunbroker.com is a rip off
Comment: Just wanted you guys to beware that if your counting on getting what you bid on at gunbroker don't get your hopes up too high. I was the only bidder on a Ruger PC9, man i been looking for a good deal on one of those for over a year, and i won it for 400 bucks plus 20 bucks in shipping ... i was about to dance a jig when i got the notice that i won, so when Tonywilcoxltd.com, the seller, told me he sold it out of his shop I was bummed out. The auction was still active and there was nothing in the listing saying that he reserved the right to end the auction early; but what made me even madder was that gunbroker sided with him stating that there was no bids on it when he sold it. (well yeah ...because i waited to the very end of the auction to bid so i wouldn't raise the price.) Of course they're gonna side with him, he's the one paying the listing fee, me i'm just a buyer who they don't get anything out of, nor do they care about. Bottom lin is that buyers beware of Tony Wilcox LLC,from Warrington, Virginia and gunbroker.com . They are out to make a buck and they dont care who they stick it to. I'll never do business with that guy or gunbroker again. To me that constitutes breech of contract and internet fraud, maybe i'm just taking it to serious, but what would you guys do if it happened to you? In any case, should any of you guys know of a good deal on a PC9 let me know.

Comment: The site has no real customer service to represent the buyers, it seems they will always side with the people who pay them, the sellers in a dispute.

Comment: In my opinion, Gunbroker is the best site for all things gun related. I have purchased and sold several items on this site and have yet to be disappointed. The self-monitoring nature of the e-bay style buyer/seller feedback helps you steer clear of the crooks. Another positive aspect of the site is its size - if you don't like the price someone is asking, look around. I bet you'll find someone else selling for a cheaper price. The site is organized properly for ease of browsing and their search engine also ensures that you won't be looking around for hours if you don't want to. Also, unlike some other sites, I have never once received spam that I could trace back to this site. Like all sites, this one has its share of scam artists. I haven't had to deal with any of them. Like I said before, just use the user feedback and you should be just fine.
